Be Your Own Grant Writer – Grant writing is one of the most important tasks to secure sustainability for a nonprofit, yet it’s notoriously frustrating and overwhelming. This 11-hour workshop is designed to simplify and streamline the entire process – from crafting proposals to organizing and planning for future funding – all at once. You’ll leave the workshop organized, with clarity on next steps, complete documents, tools and resources that will help you in all future grant applications process, and more importantly excited about your next grant proposal. After all, you’ll be your own grant writer!
The two-day workshop will cover the following topics:
- Funder Landscape: foundations, corporate, and government; know how to choose the best potential funders and leave the rest behind!
- Best Practices in Proposal Development: putting pen to paper, let’s draft a proposal!
- Strategy & Management: how to avoid burnout, streamline the process, never again miss a deadline, and most importantly acquire sustainable funds for your organization.
During the program, attendees will receive in-depth instruction on each topic, insider information on how to complete tasks, and more importantly, have access to tangible tools and deliverables to get started immediately.
In addition to the 11-hour workshop, you have the option to book a private 2-hour consultation with Grants Ink. During this consultation, you can get more personalized feedback and advice.
Workshop Schedule
Friday, June 14th from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Saturday, June 15th from 10:30 AM – 6:30 PM (including a 60-minute lunch break)
Requirements: You’ll need to bring a charged laptop with a USB port (or USB adapter if you don’t have a USB port). Pen, paper, and program information used to complete documents in class. If you don’t already have a program, feel free to create one! After registration, we will send you a one-page questionnaire to help you gather program information for the class. You’ll also need Microsoft Word and Excel. Please also bring your chargers.
