Grant Writing & Research Workshop Series

July 13, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm UTC-4

Grants Ink presents a three week workshop series on grant writing, research, budgeting and management. Lorinda Gonzalez, the faciliator for the workshops, is a certified grant writer. She has been writing and researching grants for a decade, and has brought in awards as small as 500 and as large as 5 million. From December 2016 to June 2017 alone, Grants Ink has helped bring in over 400,000 in awards for our clients.

The staff at Grants Ink are passionate about training and teaching on the world of grants, and more importantly, ensuring any non-profit, regardless of budget and size, can have access to furthering their knowledge on grants. The workshops are capped at 10 participants each to allow the instructor to provide more personalized attention to participants and to create time for specific questions and answers participants may have about grants currently being worked on.

A quick overview of each workshop:

July 13, The Art of Grant Writing- this class will cover how to write for different types of grants, tips and tricks, as well as how to draft a high quality Letter of Inquiry. Participants are welcome to bring in past and current proposals and letters for editing and feedback.

July 20, Grants Research- this class will go in-depth on the research process and how to vet through a list of potential funders for participants’ non-profits, and how to access grants databases at local public libraries.

July 27, Grants Management & Budgeting- this class goes in depth of the in’s and outs of managing grants, as well as preparing the non-profits financial documents and budgets for submission with a proposal.

A light meal and coffee is included in the cost of each workshop and parking is free at our venue.
