The Connection Cure: The Science of Human Connection
March 13, 2018 @ 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm UTC-4

If more people learn about how connection changes our bodies, and begin to connect – with friends, with family, with total strangers – can we help heal ourselves and start to heal our country?
The Connection Cure is a cross-country human engagement project challenging people to engage with themselves, others, and the world through meaningful conversation and connection. Together we combat loneliness by making it less taboo, learn the science behind everyday interactions, and create community and belonging, right where we are.
In this workshop we will:
Create a safe space to learn, define, and talk about connection
Understand the science behind connection and loneliness and their effects on our bodies’ biochemistry
Share our own experiences of connection and disconnection
Engage in practical, tactical, easy ways to connect more
